Resident Instructor Agreement
This Resident Instructor Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Global Besties Studios | Malibu’s Private Pilates Club (“Studio”) and the undersigned Resident Instructor (“Instructor”).
The purpose of this Agreement is to establish expectations for the Instructor’s use of the Studio, responsibilities while teaching or hosting events, and the shared commitment to maintaining a safe, welcoming, and professional environment.

1. Independent Business Relationship
The Instructor understands and agrees that they are operating as an independent business and are not an employee of Global Besties Studios.
Nothing in this Agreement creates an employment relationship, partnership, or joint venture.
The Instructor is responsible for their own taxes, licenses, certifications, insurance (if applicable), and compliance with applicable laws.

2. Residency
The Studio grants the Instructor permission to use the Studio during their approved residency blocks.
Residency does not create exclusive ownership of the Studio.
The Studio may schedule other events and activities outside of the Instructor’s reserved time.

3. Teaching Responsibilities
The Instructor agrees to:
Arrive on time.
Welcome guests professionally.
Teach within the scope of their certifications and experience.
Maintain a safe environment.
Inspect equipment before class.
Stop any activity they believe is unsafe.
Leave the Studio clean and ready for the next guest.

4. Client Responsibility
The Instructor is responsible for ensuring participants complete any required Studio waivers before participating.
The Instructor agrees not to knowingly permit anyone to participate without required documentation.

5. Equipment
Studio equipment shall be used respectfully.
The Instructor agrees to report damaged or unsafe equipment immediately.
Equipment may not be removed from the Studio without written permission.

6. Studio Standards
The Instructor agrees to help preserve the atmosphere of Global Besties Studios by:
Treating every guest with kindness and professionalism.
Maintaining a welcoming environment.
Respecting neighboring businesses.
Keeping music at appropriate levels.
Leaving the Studio organized after each session.
Following all Studio policies.

7. Scheduling & Residency Blocks
Residency blocks are reserved specifically for the Instructor.
If the Instructor cannot teach, they agree to notify the Studio as soon as reasonably possible.
Repeated cancellations, no-shows, or failure to use scheduled residency blocks may result in modification or termination of residency.

8. Payments
The Instructor understands the financial arrangement agreed upon separately between the Instructor and the Studio.
Any residency fees, commissions, or revenue-sharing arrangements are governed by the Instructor’s residency package or separate written agreement.

9. Photography & Content
The Studio may photograph or record classes and community events for promotional purposes.
The Instructor grants permission for reasonable use of photographs and video featuring the Instructor unless otherwise agreed in writing.

10. Confidentiality
The Instructor agrees to keep confidential any non-public information regarding:

11. Community Standards
Global Besties Studios is built around community, professionalism, and respect.
Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, abusive conduct, or behavior that negatively affects guests or the Studio community will not be tolerated.
The Studio may immediately suspend or terminate residency if such conduct occurs.

12. Liability
The Instructor understands that teaching fitness and wellness activities involves inherent risks.
The Instructor voluntarily assumes responsibility for activities conducted during their residency and releases the Studio from claims arising from ordinary risks associated with use of the premises, except where prohibited by California law or involving gross negligence, reckless misconduct, or intentional wrongdoing.

13. Ending Residency
Either party may end the residency relationship in accordance with the terms of any separate residency package or written notice requirements.
The Studio reserves the right to immediately terminate residency for serious safety violations, unlawful conduct, repeated policy violations, or behavior that materially harms the Studio or its guests.

14. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by the laws of the State of California.

Brand Representation
Resident Instructors acknowledge that they are an important part of the Global Besties Studios experience. While teaching or hosting at the Studio, Instructors agree to conduct themselves in a professional, respectful, and welcoming manner that reflects the Studio’s values. Instructors remain free to operate their own independent businesses and brands but agree not to represent themselves as owners, employees, or authorized spokespersons of Global Besties Studios unless expressly authorized in writing.
