Malibu’s Private Pilates Club
Participant Release of Liability & Studio Agreement
This Participant Release of Liability and Studio Agreement (“Agreement”) is entered into between Global Besties Studios | Malibu’s Private Pilates Club (referred to as the “Studio”) and the undersigned participant (“Participant”). This Agreement applies to all visits to the Studio, including but not limited to Pilates classes, private instruction, workshops, wellness events, celebrations, studio rentals, content creation sessions, and any activities hosted by the Studio or its independent instructors.
Cancellation Policy
Group classes, private sessions, events, and appointments may be canceled or rescheduled with at least 12 hours’ notice.
Cancellations made less than 12 hours before the scheduled start time may result in the loss of the class credit, session, reservation, or payment, unless otherwise stated in the Participant’s membership or booking agreement.
Late arrivals may result in a shortened session or inability to participate if doing so would disrupt the experience or create a safety concern.
Participant Health & Physical Condition
The Participant confirms that they are physically able to participate in exercise and wellness activities offered by the Studio.
The Participant understands that exercise carries inherent risks and represents that they do not have any medical condition, injury, illness, or physical limitation that would make participation unsafe.
The Studio does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The Participant understands that it is recommended they consult their physician before beginning any new exercise program.
The Participant agrees to immediately notify the instructor if they experience pain, dizziness, discomfort, shortness of breath, or any unusual symptoms before, during, or after participation. The Studio reserves the right to stop participation at any time if safety becomes a concern.
Assumption of Risk
The Participant understands that participation in Pilates, fitness instruction, stretching, wellness activities, use of fitness equipment, and movement-based programs involves inherent risks.
These risks include, but are not limited to:
slips, trips, or falls;
muscle soreness or strain;
sprains or fractures;
equipment-related injuries;
aggravation of pre-existing conditions;
illness or other unforeseen injuries.
The Participant knowingly and voluntarily accepts all risks associated with participation and agrees to participate at their own risk.
Release of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by California law, the Participant releases and forever discharges Global Besties Studios, Malibu’s Private Pilates Club, its owners, managers, employees, contractors, resident instructors, volunteers, independent instructors, event hosts, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, or expenses arising out of or relating to participation in Studio activities or use of the Studio facilities, except where prohibited by law.
This release includes claims resulting from ordinary negligence but does not apply to gross negligence, reckless misconduct, or intentional wrongdoing.
Studio Guests & Independent Instructors
The Participant understands that some classes and events are led by independent instructors who are not employees of the Studio.
The Participant acknowledges that participation with any instructor or event host is voluntary and agrees that this Agreement applies regardless of which instructor or host is conducting the activity.
Photography & Video
The Studio occasionally photographs or films classes, events, and common areas for promotional and marketing purposes.
By participating, the Participant grants permission for photographs or video in which they may appear to be used by the Studio unless they notify the Studio in writing before the activity begins.
Personal Property
The Participant is responsible for all personal belongings brought onto Studio property.
The Studio is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.
Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted under the laws of the State of California.
If any provision of this Agreement is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
Acknowledgment
I acknowledge that I have carefully read this Participant Release of Liability and Studio Agreement.
I understand its contents, understand that I am giving up certain legal rights by signing it, and voluntarily agree to its terms.
I certify that I am at least 18 years of age or that a parent or legal guardian has signed on my behalf.
Studio Policies & Participant Agreement

Reservations & Cancellations
Bookings are reserved specifically for you. Please provide at least 12 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations, no-shows, or missed appointments may result in the loss of your session, class credit, or applicable cancellation fee.

Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes before your scheduled experience. Late arrivals may receive a shortened session or may not be admitted if entry would disrupt the class.

Studio Etiquette
To help create a welcoming environment for everyone, Participants agree to:
Treat instructors, staff, guests, and fellow members with kindness and respect.
Wear appropriate athletic clothing and grip socks when required.
Return equipment to its designated location after use.
Silence mobile phones during classes.
Follow instructor safety directions at all times.

Health & Wellness
Please do not attend class if you are experiencing symptoms of illness, fever, or any contagious condition.

Right to Refuse Participation
Global Besties Studios reserves the right to refuse participation or remove any guest whose behavior is unsafe, disruptive, intoxicated, abusive, or otherwise interferes with the experience of others.

Photography, Video & Content Release
One of your biggest differences from other studios is that your space is intentionally content-friendly.
I would word it like this:
Photography & Video
Global Besties Studios regularly captures photographs and video during classes, events, celebrations, workshops, podcast recordings, and promotional content.
By participating, you acknowledge that you may appear in photographs or video recordings.
Unless you notify the Studio in writing before your visit, you grant Global Besties Studios permission to use your likeness, image, voice, or video for:

Social media
Advertising
Marketing materials
Press features
Promotional campaigns
No compensation will be provided for such use.
Participants who prefer not to appear in Studio content should notify Studio staff before their session begins, and reasonable efforts will be made to accommodate the request.

Personal Photography
Guests are welcome to take photos for personal use provided it does not interfere with instruction or the privacy of other participants.
Commercial photography requires Studio approval.

Studio Rental & Event Acknowledgment
Since many of your guests won’t actually be taking Pilates classes, this page is important.
Participants acknowledge that the Studio hosts:
Pilates classes
Wellness workshops
Private events
Birthday celebrations
Brand activations
Content creation
Podcast recordings
Corporate gatherings
Community events
Participation in any Studio activity is voluntary and subject to this Agreement.
Guests remain responsible for their own safety while moving throughout the property, including parking areas, entrances, stairways, restrooms, outdoor spaces, and common areas.

Emergency Medical Authorization
If I become injured or experience a medical emergency while participating in Studio activities, I authorize Studio staff to contact emergency services if they believe medical assistance is necessary.
I understand that I am responsible for all medical expenses resulting from emergency treatment.
The Studio is not responsible for medical costs associated with my participation.
